Training Tips
Finding difficulties in the behaviour of your puppy? Please keep in mind that you’re having a shepherd, which means you’ve got to let him work for you.
Try the following things when on a walk:
- Use a long leash and bring some kibbles. Learn his recall, stay, follow, leave it, sit and lay down during your walk.
- Only use positive reinforcement! As you can see in the video above, it sometimes takes a while for your dog to fully understand your comments.
- Be consistent in your training:
Yes means Yes and No means No - Use the same commands and include his name. Come here <name>, Good come <name>
However, keep in mind that keeping his brain busy is helping in many ways like behaviour issues. It prevents whining, chewing, fear development and anxiety aggression!
Don’t forget to make it fun for him and you!
